Olga Ferrer (2023)

Olga Ferrer, age 80, beloved wife of Marcos Nieves, mother of three wonderful children and grandmother of nine, from Middletown, NY, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023.

Olga was a dedicated wife, loving mother and an accomplished seamstress in the 70's. She was an advocate in her community for tenants' rights and always willing to help anyone, whether she knew them or not. She was extremely generous, loving and kind — but also a force to be reckoned with! She was resilient, courageous and definitely a person you wanted in your life!

She enjoyed babysitting all the kids in the area and was well known and adored by so many people. She frequently attended church and served her community by volunteering her time, such as cooking for people in need.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Michael Ferrer, Susan Lopez and Rebecca Jimenez; daughter-in-law Doris Ferrer and son-in-law Carlos Lopez; as well as all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were entrusted to Meléndez Funeral Home, 30 Grove Street, Middletown, NY 10940 on January 6, 2024 from 9 AM to 12 PM. Following the service, family and friends joined a short reception at 455 Schutt Road, Middletown, NY 10940 from 1 to 4 PM.
