Alan Jay Dorfman (2024)

Alan Jay Dorfman was an incredible husband and father. He was daddy to me and forever will be. He had so much patience and was always trying to teach me something new, whether it be cooking a recipe or educating me on the various instruments in the orchestra. Daddy was by far one of the smartest people I knew. He was the family's dictionary, chef, and musician. He was everything and more. My heart is aching, and not having him in this life is truly hard. No more daily check-up texts to see how I'm doing at college. No more nagging on being on time. No more Facebook memes. Yet, even though these are "no more," his memory still lives on in me and everyone else whose heart he touched. Bye, bye daddy, I will always love you.

The funeral service was held at Meléndez Funeral Home, LLC, 30 Grove St., Middletown, NY 10940, with a viewing from 1–2 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 and a Jewish service from 2–3 PM, followed by private cremation.
